Fancy Day

 

I'm not one to accessorize like crazy or pile on the glitz. I'm trying to get into the accessory game, but I still tend to err on the side of simple. My favorite pieces are the ones that tell a story. And these necklaces definitely do. The pearls were brought back to me from China by my world-traveling uncle and are uniquely shaded in purple and pink. The other necklaces were my grandma's, gifted to me from my mother's stash of treasure. I cherish the pieces that were hers... it's a little bit like wearing a hug.

Pride

Now that my hair has grown out quite a bit, I am trying to be more creative with how I style it, especially ways to wear it up and away from my face. Unfortunately after years of short hair, my clumsy fingers need a little help and a lot of practice. But this morning! I stumbled into a twist bun thing! And felt fancy all day long.

Spring Pastels

 

One of the spring trends I am most looking forward to is the soft pastels that are popping up everywhere. Now just to incorporate some into my very jewel toned wardrobe.

Well now. It seems I am currently on my way to this place for a couple busy, busy days and hoping to bring back memories and potentially some pretty cool news..

Spring in January

 

 

Warm and windy with slightly ominous clouds and patches of glorious sun. Yep. Spring has come early. But I can't say I mind. Spring weather is my favorite. Weather aside, I've been on a thrifting kick lately, and happened upon this leather purse and belt for $5!

Sandlewood

I should probably call this blog "Christine climbs on things" instead. Because really it's so much fun. You might notice that my glasses are different. That is because on Tuesday my home try on from Warby Parker came!! So I am walking around with fake new glasses to see how I like them, and so far these are my favorite, Finn in Sandlewood Matte.
