Versus

I originally started this blog with the intention of keeping a daily (or nearly daily) record of what I wear. My intentions have grown since then, but I still think there's a lot of value in how people chose to present themselves to the world on an average day. Not to say that one outfit can sum up a person, but it can give some insight. This is a weekday look for me: polished, feminine, quality clothes, cute but city appropriate shoes, etc. It fits my life of commuting to Manhattan and working in crisp, clean office. Sitting here on a Saturday afternoon looking at these photos, I've realized that this is not how I dress on the weekends. Simple, comfortable silhouettes, disheveled hair, minimal accessories, barefoot as often as possible. I rarely take pictures of this look because it feels less creative/interesting, but I think it's equally as me as this one.

Palette

Maybe it's my new surroundings, but I've been feeling inspired to try some wacky color combinations lately, which is a nice change from the usual.

Tangerine

Orange and blue and grey. This should not be a surprise. That those heels are the most comfortable ones in the world might be.

I should probably make a post one day of all the zany outtakes from these photo shoots. Because without fail, at some point I always get silly.

On this one rare day, it was chilly enough to wear a sweater. And now all I can think about are warm and pretty layering combinations. Except it's 80 again. Yay.

Just the One

Excuse the somewhat blah picture today. It was in fact the only one I managed to get, and you can hardly see my new favorite lace-up boots! An unfortunate series of events unfolded, the wind was involved, and well.... I think my camera might be permanently broken? Luckily, I know where I can find a backup for the time being, but that doesn't fix my poor little camera.
