Just the One

Excuse the somewhat blah picture today. It was in fact the only one I managed to get, and you can hardly see my new favorite lace-up boots! An unfortunate series of events unfolded, the wind was involved, and well.... I think my camera might be permanently broken? Luckily, I know where I can find a backup for the time being, but that doesn't fix my poor little camera.

Glorious Fall!

Fall at last! The high temperatures here are finally regularly in the 60s and 70s, and I'm soaking up the wonderful sunshine every chance I get. I'd say I'm storing up on it for winter, but who am I kidding. The sun never stops shining in the South.

Blue and orange is my favorite complimentary color pairing.

Simple hem

Thrift store shopping can be a pretty trying experience, wading through racks and piles of outdated, polyester clothing in hopes of finding something great. It takes persistence and creativity, which honestly I don't always have the patience for. But items like this skirt are reminder that it's worth it.

A Very Flapper Halloween

 

I have a confession to make. I have been having a love affair with the 1920s for a long time now. Even this blog is titled after a chapter in a Fitzgerald novel. My love knows no bounds. So of course, when I needed a casual Halloween outfit, I put together a daytime flapper look, modernizing it somewhat for all day wearablility.

Neutrality

If all skirts were maxi skirts with pockets, I'd be the most comfortable girl in the world.

Versatile

This skirt has become one of my new wardrobe staples for fall. Mostly, because it goes so nicely with almost every shirt in my closet. 

Seasonless

 

One of the wacky things about life in the south is the ability to wear shorts nearly all year round. 90 degrees in October is totally normal.
